One of the leading Swiss software engineering companies.  It has multiple locations across Europe with over 300 employees. The headquarters of said company is located near Zurich Lake.

Job description

As the head of Sales & Marketing, you will utilize your strong background in sales, key account, and marketing management to strengthen the company’s commercial organization and continue the Group’s success story. This challenging and high-visibility position provides leadership and management oversight of all commercial aspects within the Group and puts a strong emphasis on acquisition, digital marketing, and revenue management.

You are responsible for the implementation of all commercial objectives of the company. This includes the definition and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy using the appropriate measures. You are a self-starter, result-driven personality with a proven sales background while experience in Information Technology (shoring) sector is a plus.

With the committed support of the company’s Group, you will be responsible to meet financial growth, and client happiness goals. You are part of the Group Executive Board and report to the Group CEO.

Responsibilities and objectives

  • Control and optimization of the contribution margin through appropriate margin and cost management, including reporting and strategic controlling.

  • Definition of Group-wide sales and marketing targets and their implementation.

  • Acquisition of new strategic development of existing customers.

  • Overall responsibility for external communications including website. Active support of the development centers in (employer) branding.

  • Market analysis and, based on this, further development of strategic positioning. Further development of the product portfolio as well as the development of new business areas.

  • Responsible for key account management. Achieving the highest possible customer satisfaction. Organization, monitoring, and optimization of existing customer relationships in all commercial and organizational matters.

  • Supporting the CEO in representing the company to all external stakeholders.

  • Supporting the COO in the definition and control of the innovation process of the Group.

Requirements and personal success factors

  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales and marketing (6 years minimum relevant experience and at least 3 years of overall commercial responsibility)

  • Academic degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent.

  • Project management experience with a strong practical focus and “can do” attitude (“getting things done”).

  • Outgoing personality, able to build trust quickly and maintain it.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both (Swiss) German and English.

  • Willingness to travel and visit our locations sporadically.

  • Well-developed understanding of the software shoring industry and its challenges regarding winning and retaining clients is a plus.

  • International mindset and cross-cultural management competencies.

  • Able to position and represent the company successfully in the market, during customer interactions and visits.

  • Office location Pfäffikon SZ, hybrid working model applied.
